01/April/2017 - Ocmulgee Indian Mounds

Today Old Grump took Kuya and Dodong on a little field trip, to visit the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds located here in Macon, Georgia.

It's no joke that these mounds are very, very old human structures.  If you're ever in the area, the park is well worth a visit.

What's really nice about the park is that it is a safe place where the boys can run around and burn off some of their energy, much to the delight of Grump and Sweetie!

31/March/2017 - Dodong's Birthday!

Today was Dodong's birthday!  He is now a big boy of three years old!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DODONG!!

He's not so sure about this "cake" thing ......

Oh, wait a minute.  That looks YUMMY!

For his birthday he got some super-cool, light-up Captain America shoes!  Neat-o, huh?

30/March/2017 - Back Home!

Although it was only Thursday, Old Grump came home after work today, because he is taking tomorrow off.  Hooray!

Remember the STUPID cold front that blasted us on the 14th?  Here is a pic of a crepe myrtle which got all its leaves zapped by that STUPID weather.

It's hard to see, but it's once nice young healthy green leaves are all withered and brown now.

Back home, the boys fussed over who gets to use the iPad.  Well, actually only Kuya fussed, because he is not allowed to use an iPad except on the weekend.  But this restriction doesn't apply to Dodong. So Kuya tried to muscle in on Dodong, attempting to coerce him into watching what he, (Kuya), wanted to watch.  It didn't work!

Peace!

29/March/2017 - Another Nice Day

Gosh, but it was nice weather again today.  I wish I knew what was going on with the weather gods, why they seem fit to interrupt the pleasant weather with dreadful days like we got two weeks ago.  Who knows?

Grump had beef for lunch again.  Every since Dodong became allergic to fish, Grump has begun to "love" beef.  Beef, beef, beef! Yum!

Well ...... maybe not really, but at least he eats it now without complaining.

Outside the building where Grump works, the trees were trying to recover from the craziness of the recent cold spell.

Back home, Kuya and Dodong were absolutely loving little angels.  Well, at least they were when Mama was looking!

28/March/2017 - Pleasant Day

It was a beautiful day today!  Who could believe that such pleasant weather could come a mere two weeks after the thermometer plunged to 25 degrees fahrenheit?

Look at these beautiful azaleas.  It's a good thing they waited a few extra days to open their blossoms!

Back home, Kuya built a "batman office" with his lego set.

Grump strolled the grounds of Venerable Watson's apartment complex, and snapped a few pics.

What are these plants?  Yucca?  Aloe?

This is a creepy tree!

Time to say goodbye ......

Goodbye Kuya

27/March/2017 - Back to Work (Yuck!)

Monday means "back to work" for Grump, and waking up before dawn for him and Sweetie.  This is as unpleasant as it seems, but we have bills to pay, so Grump must go toil for a measly bit of filthy lucre with which we will keep our creditors away.

So that's all for today, I guess.

26/March/2017 - Dodong Flings Yogurt

So it was a mostly quiet Sunday.  We skipped church, choosing instead to sleep in late, and spent the day relaxing.

Even Old Grump seemed to unwind.

And then ..... Sweetie gave Dodong some yogurt!

Lola attempting to clean up the yogurt

Dodong, the yogurt flinger!

So after eating some, Dodong did what any normal two year old would do: he started flinging it across the kitchen!

The pictures above don't do this even justice, as they were taken after some cleanup effort by Sweetie and Lola.  Imagine a child flinging yogurt across the floor, and directly at you, and you'll get an idea of what happened.

Peace!
