27/April/2017 - Rainy Day
It was a very rainy day today, with severe weather in Columbus, Georgia. (Bad weather back home in Macon too, but not as severe.)
For breakfast Old Grump had grits. He added strawberries to his grits, (yes, strawberries!), much to the disgust of all the native southerners.

26/April/2017 - Hump Day
On this Hump Day, the place where Old Grump works had an auction of unwanted treasures. Grump got all the following goodies for a mere $7.00!
When he got back to Venerable Watson's apartment after work, he went for a walk around the apartment complex.
It's hard, (impossible?), to tell in the following photo, but a little squirrel was poking its head out of the hole near the roof of this building, next to the light fixture.
Everyone needs a home!

25/April/2017 - An Unwelcome Guest!
After another icky day at work, Old Grump was treated to quite a shock when he came back to Venerable Watson's apartment. We had an uninvited guest waiting just outside the front door!
That's right ..... there was a snake, right outside the doorway! That's our "welcome mat" to the left of the coiling little nasty critter.
Grump was able to push the snake away with an umbrella kept just inside the front door, (the snake bit the umbrella several times in the process), but it was still an unpleasant experience. Nobody wants to find a snake waiting for them when they get home.
After the snake was gone Grump changed into his hiking shorts, and went for a walk on the trail near Flat Rock park.
Once he got on the main paved trail, the scenery basically looked like this:
Probably the most interesting part of this trail was where it went under a very busy road.

24/April/2017 - Back at Work
Dreaded Monday rolled around again, and Grump had to make the long drive into work.
Here he is in Venerable Watson's apartment after another discouraging day at work, sitting beside his bed staring at his shoes.
Meanwhile back in Macon things weren't so rosy either; Kuya had to go back to the Ouch Dentist to get his bridge refitted in his mouth. Ouch indeed!

23/April/2017 - Lazy Sunday
Today was a lazy Sunday. We did ...... well, we did pretty much nothing all day. I suppose sometimes you just need a "day of rest", and we certainly enjoyed relaxing today.

22/April/2017 - Field Trip
Today Grump took Kuya and Dodong on a field trip to the Tubman Museum in downtown Macon. Unbeknownst to him, today was a "Celebration of Fatherhood" day at the museum, so not only did he and the two kids get free admission, they also got free lunches!
One of the special exhibits at the museum was put on by Kuya's karate instructor.
Back home, the boys showed off the fireman hats they had received at the museum.
Meanwhile, Grump did what he does best ....... sleep!
Later in the day we went shopping, driving up to Toys-R-Us to use some gift cards Kuya had been given. Sweetie posed with the Toys-R-Us mascot:

21/April/2017 - Friday! Hooray!!
Friday finally got here again, and Grump came back home from work!
It was beautiful weather, so the boys got "watered" whilst Lola and Sweetie were watering plants.
Later in the evening Grump read to an attentive Dodong.
Kuya decided to read too!
