Dodong riding a "Kuya horse" |
Grump has even started taking odd pics again, such as this one of a magnolia tree. (Why he took it, I haven't a clue.)
There is still some stress around here over the INSANE COST of the Philippines trip, with Grump every now and then breaking out into self-defeating bouts of negativity. Please pray for the old guy. He really wanted to retire this year, but even without the Philippines trip I don't think we have enough money for him to quit working.
On a more positive note ...... we took a quick trip to High Falls State Park. If you've ever been there, you know that the path is steep and full of roots and rocks, and that you have to climb up the steep grade on your way back! Fortunately we did not go too far down the path, as Grump wound up carrying Dodong most of the way back, (with some deeply appreciated help from Sweetie).

All of us! Sweetie's head in foreground; Grump holding Dodong; Kuya standing with Lola behind. |
If you don't mind the rugged, steep path, there are some very scenic views.
It is recommended that you do NOT go swimming in the river and climbing on the rocks, because of the strong current.
"We ain't afraid of no current!" |
We actually weren't at the park for long. Carrying Dodong in that environment was just too much work.
Back home, Dodong enjoyed playing with his fixation, Play-Doh. Just like Kuya was at his age, Dodong is fascinated by the stuff. Play-Doh rocks indeed!

It takes concentration to get this just right! |
Peace!
