Grump and Sweetie managed to FINALLY get their butts into the gym and walk for a bit, (just a mile), on the treadmill. Ever since Grump hurt his ankle way back in October, (and then had his silly appendix act up), they hadn't been to the gym, so this was significant.
After they got back Grump worked in the yard, doing his best to prepare the fig trees for winter. Even though he successfully grew fig trees back in Raleigh, NC, which is considerably colder than here in middle Georgia, his fig trees have not done well. Weird. Maybe he just have the wrong varieties? Or maybe it's the erratic nature of the weather here that is stressing them out?
Later in the day Kuya's friend Brody came over for a visit, so Kuya had a friend to play with. Brody's little sister and Mama Sue were here as well, later joined by Papa Jude, their younger daughter, and her young son. (He is the child referenced in the August/2015 "Letter to Angel", and he is doing very well now, thank God!) Whilst all the filipinos were socializing, and the kids were playing, Old Grump hid in the bedroom and browsed the internet,
Dinner was noodles and sardines for everyone except Grump, who being strongly of the Kano persuasion prefers more standard Western style food, so he ate some pierogis.
Peace y'all!
