I have no idea what this image has to do with this post either! |
There are quite a few of them, so today will mostly be devoted to WonderPolls.
1. Would you rather share your feelings about a person face-to-face or over text?
The correct answer, of course, is face-to-face, because then you get non-verbal feedback. But would you believe 39% of respondents chose, "over text"?
2. When you make cereal, do you put the milk in first or the cereal?
5% of respondents must have weird eating habits, because they claim they put the milk in first. (I bet they're lying!)
3. Do dogs know they're dogs?
I'd vote "no" on this one, and I'd be in the minority. 65% of respondents voted "yes". I guess they're very self-aware?
4. Are you a grammar Nazi? There were three possible choices to this question, "Yes", "No", and "It's grammar!".
"It's grammar" was the winning choice at 44%, followed closely by "No" with 40%. 16% of respondents admitted to being overly fastidious pricks, and chose "Yes".
Actually I'm kinda confused by the "It's grammar!" answer. Is this supposed to be dismissive, as in "It's only grammar! Lighten up!", or more serious, as in "It's grammar, and rules must be followed!"
5. Do you add people on Facebook or wait for them to add you?
More folks, 59%. are in the "wait for them" camp. Only 41% take the initiative and "add people".
Why wasn't there a "What's Facebook?" answer?
6. Which do you think is harder, a back flip or a front flip?
65% say a "back flip" is harder, while 35% disagree, claiming a front flip is the more difficult. At my age, I ain't flipping anyway, front, back, or side-to-side!
7. Do you sleep upstairs, on the main level, or in the basement?
"Upstairs" was the winner with 51% of the votes, with "main level" getting 42%. Apparently no one sleeps in the basement if they can help it, because it only got 7% of the votes.
I sleep wherever I can find an empty bed.
8. Why do you use the Internet? There were four choices: "Cats", "Pictures", "Answers", and "People doing stupid things".
Considering that the most popular reason for using the Internet, namely Porn, wasn't available, it should come as no surprise that the answer closest to this, "People doing stupid things", got 57% of the votes. "Answers" came in next with 25%, followed by "Pictures" with 12%. "Cats" came in last with 6%.
Spenglish of the day:
Fue un día muy agitado. Llegué al trabajo muy temprano, y trabajado como un perro durante todo el día. Mi jefe dijo que tengo que trabajar más duro. ¡Odio mi trabajo!
Peace y'all
