It was a beautiful Saturday here in central Georgia. So beautiful, in fact, it seemed a shame to waste it laying about the house. So we all ate a quick breakfast, jumped in the car, and zoomed off to Atlanta, to visit one of our favorite places, the
Atlanta Botanical Garden!

Have there always been garden trains here? If so, we've never seen them before.

Don't worry, Kuya. That frog won't bite you! |
The orchids were also spectacular!

Tulips! Tulips! Tulips! |

Aaahhh!! |
After wandering around the gardens for a few hours, we headed over to Panita Thai Kitchen just off N. Highland Ave. It's got really good ratings, but we were kinda disappointed. Maybe we just caught it on a bad day?
It is most definitely an eclectic place, with plants all around the entrance, and cool serving bowls.

No trip to Atlanta is complete without a trip to the spectacular
Buford Highway Farmers Market in Doraville, so we headed up there after lunch. Shopping there is so much fun that it's easy to overspend, so you have to try to exercise some discipline and restrain yourself. (Ha!)

After all that adventure we were worn out, and began the long journey home, fighting crazy Atlanta traffic for a good bit of the way.
Peace!
