2016/July/10 - Outlet Mall

It was a beautiful Sunday morning!  Grump were happy, (well, the kids were happy), and Sweetie was her usual sweet self.

Sweetie expertly sliced open the durian we bought at H Mart yesterday, proving once again that she is sweet AND clever!

To give Lola and Sweetie some time away from the kids, Grump took the boys to see an early, (11:00 am!), movie, "The Secret Life of Pets".  The movie wasn't all that awful, (Kuya loved it, Dodong sat through it, which is very good for a two year old, and Grump even liked parts of it), and Lola and Sweetie really enjoyed having some time "to themselves".


Since our "backroads" trip to H Mart yesterday was such a success, (we all had a good time, and Grump did NOT spoil the fun by getting irritated by crazy traffic), after lunch we decided to do something similar again today.  This time it was a trip up highway 23 to the Tanger Outlet mall in Locust Grove.

After a long afternoon during which Sweetie and Lola purchased many treasures at bargain prices, it was time to get some dinner.  Based on a quick internet search we decided to try a nearby Mexican restaurant, Gabino's Mexican Grill.  It was a pleasant surprise!  The food was very good, arrived quickly, and was inexpensive; we fed all five of us, including tax and 20% tip, for less than $50.00!

All good things must come to an end.  We drove back home, then prepared for bed early, as Grump needed to wake up early tomorrow morning and drive to work.  Dodong and Kuya, of course, went straight to bed ...... HA!
