The day began with a morning eye appointment for Kuya, whose eyes, despite all his blinking, are just fine. Hooray!

After the eye doc appointment, we decided to drive to Juliette, Georgia, to eat lunch at the Whistle Stop Cafe.
There isn't much to Juliette, just some "stores" which look almost like permanent flea market stands.
There is a little more to it than that, including a winery and a store that sells local honey, but the main attraction to Juliette is the cafe.
As for the Whistle Stop Cafe itself, we were pleasantly surprised. The food is good ol' southern cooking style, which means mostly fried, but very good, not expensive, and, (importantly to this group of folks who don't each much fried food), highly digestible. It's not that far from where we live, so we will be back! (Lola absolutely loved and DEVOURED her fried pork chop!)

After dinner we got the boys some ice cream. Eating it was a sloppy affair in the heat, but they managed to get most of it in their mouths, rather than on their clothes or on the porch floor.
Peace!
