10/September/2017 - Happy Sunday

It was a happy Sunday at our house.

First we went to church:

Then later in the day we were visited by a "Spiderman Dodong".

09/September/2017 - The Void Continues

Today will be yet another undocumented day.

The primary reason for this is that Grump has become preoccupied recently with, of all things, Bitcoin.  He has become convinced that "investing", (more properly termed "gambling", IMHO), in Bitcoin is his latest path to wealth.

The title says it all ..... this is another day "in the void", because there are no pics to show that we did anything, (or even existed!).

I'm sure all sorts of things happened, some of which may have been interesting or exciting, but without pics to prove it, the events of the day may as well never occured.

07/September/2017 - Camotes, and a Balloon for Angel

First thing this morning Lola dug up just a few of the camotes, (sweet potatoes), growing in her gardens.

As you can see, it was quite a harvest!  Good thing we all enjoy eating camotes, else there'd be some unhappy folks in our house right now.


Later in the day we took the balloon Sweetie got at her birthday luncheon about a week ago, and after addressing it to Angel we took it outside to release it to her.

06/September/2017 - Another Tower, and Karate

Today Dodong decided to build a block tower all on his own:

In the afternoon Kuya went to karate class:

Whilst Dodong and Old Grump were in the toy room upstairs, (to help Kuya concentrate on his school work), they built a cool tower out of blocks:

04/September/2017 - Labor Day

Today was Labor Day, a holiday here in the American Empire, although since Old Grump isn't employed anymore, (I can't quite call him "retired" yet), it felt the same as any other day to us.

The "excitement" of the day occurred early in the morning.  Dodong has a bad cough; he had a coughing fit after drinking a bottle of chocolate Pediasure, and barfed it all up!

03/September/2017 - Peaceful Sunday

Today we did a whole lot of nothing.  Other than a scenic drive out to the tiny town of Smarr, mostly just lay about the house, reading or playing on one of the computers.

Here is a misleading pic that shows the boys playing peacefully together.  If you believe that this is how they normally interact, rather than tearing up the house, or each other, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you!

02/September/2017 - A Junk Sale

The exciting, (to Sweetie - Grump thought it was a waste of money, and had to carry around Dodong the entire time we were there), event of the day was a "Vintage Goods" sale Sweetie, Dodong, and Grump attended.  It was located at the fairgrounds in Perry, so it was a bit a of drive to get there, and once there we discovered that it cost $5.00 a person to get it, (paying money for the privilege of spending money??), so Grump was none too happy about it.  He was considerably less happy when it became apparent that most of the "Vintage Goods" for sale were just junk that had been hauled out of someone's attic or garage, and dusted off.

In Grump's opinion, the only pleasant thing about this silly sale was the smiling face they stamped on your hand at the entrance.

01/September/2017 - Sweetie's Birthday Dinner

Today Grump and Dodong continued their castle building endeavors:

Dodong was in cheerful mood most of the day!

He was so happy that he felt the need to express himself by writing with a PERMANENT marker on our bedroom wall!

It's a wonderful drawing of a magic man, but Grump and Sweetie would like it even more if it were not on our wall.


The highlight of the day was Sweetie's birthday dinner.  She and Grump went to the ever wonderful Natalia's, and had a scrumptious meal.  Sweetie even wore her new birthday dress!

31/August/2017 - Another Day at Home

Today was just another day at home for us.

Dodong has gotten in the habit of coming shopping with us.

It has also become routine for Dodong to spend several hours with Grump upstairs in the toy/computer room.

30/August/2017 - Sweetie's Birthday!!

Today was Sweetie's birthday!  She is 29 years old .... again!!  (She will ALWAYS be young at heart!)

Since it was a school day, celebrations were brief.  Sweetie got a birthday card, (with some birthday loot inside!), then it was back to school for her and Kuya.

Meanwhile, Grump and Dodong went to the indoor playground at the local Chick-fil-A.

29/August/2017 - Amerson Park and Karate

It was yet another day of babysitting for Old Grump.

This morning he and Dodong went to Amerson River Park.  Dodong had a much better time than he did the last time they went there, probably because the playground was dry, as a few days had passed without rain.

This particular playground toy was Dodong's favorite, once he got used to it.  With a giant spring on the bottom, you get bounced around back and forth, and side to side, if someone else, (e.g., Grump), pushes and pulls you.

In the evening Kuya had his karate class again.

Dodong came along this time, and was upset he couldn't doing any chopping or kicking.
