Why was this exciting? Because the grass hadn't been cut in a long, long time, and it was very high, and in lots of places so thick you could hardly push the lawnmower through it. Because it was early it was also wet, and thus once cut would stick to the bottom of the lawnmower and clog it up. Fun, fun, fun!!
Once he was done with the grass cutting, Old Grump was pretty much wiped out for the day. So Sweetie let him lay about and do lots of nothing, which suited him just fine!
Lola and the boys stayed home too:

What a wonderful day it was!
Since there's really nothing else much to report, I believe we are overdue for some WonderPolls!
1. Which type of book would you rather be trapped in? Horror, Mystery, Fantasy, War, or Love?
I would choose Fantasy, because if you let your imagination loose anything goes! You'd just have to keep control of it, and focus on the good, (positive), rather than the bad, (negative).
Fantasy was the second most popular choice, picked by 36% of y'all. Since half, (or more!), of the population is female, it should come as no surprise that Love was the leading choice, with 39% of the votes. War, (guys?), got 11% of the responses, Mystery got 10%, while 4% of y'all are masochists and would choose to be trapped in a Horror book. (Would you really WANT to be in a Horror story?)
2. Has your house ever burned down?
Heck no, and I hope it stays that way! 95% of y'all have also never had your house burn down, while for 5% this unfortunate tragedy has occurred. I'm sorry; please accept my condolences.
3. How many times have you said you were going on a diet, but only did it for one or two days? a) 1-2 times; b) 5 or more times; c) I'll start my diet tomorrow!
I'm definitely in the "c" category. Diets are one of those "good for ya" things that you know you need to do, and will get around to "someday".
65% of y'all agree with me, and chose "c". Now I believe that 24% of respondents may be stretching the truth a bit, because they claimed that they only did this once or twice. (Maybe they gave up on dieting altogether?) 11% of y'all admit to being unable to stick to your diets, like most of us.
4. What weekday do you hate the most?
Gosh, but this is a silly question! MONDAY, obviously! Who LIKES going back to work after two days off over the weekend? I suppose the ONLY interesting responses would come from folks who work different schedules than the rest of us, such as retail or hospital workers.
Anyway, 82% of us hate Monday. Next was Tuesday, with 9% of responses, followed by Wednesday with 4%, Thursday with 3%, and Friday with 2%. (Why Friday?) Pretty much what you would expect, huh?
Peace y'all!
