Kuya is a challenging kid to teach. He can do the work, when he feels like concentrating, but getting him to do that is difficult, particularly in the morning. It's as if his mind is totally somewhere else. For example, ask him to spell, "string", and you get an answer back like, "sisisi". What the heck is that all about?
But in the afternoon his brain seems to finally click into gear, and if not able to spell "string" accurately, he'll at least make a good attempt, giving back something like "sting". His writing becomes neater, and he is actually able to learn.
Weird!!
Dodong is piddling along quite nicely. He has learned how to manipulate Sweetie's iPhone better than Grump can, truth be told. His language skills are still a bit primitive, but that is no doubt due to the fact that the poor kid is attempting to learn two languages, (Bisaya and English), at the same time.
Grump came back home again after work today, and was assigned the difficult task of going over Kuya's lessons with Kuya. Grump failed miserably as a teacher, and rather quickly had to be replaced by Sweetie.
Poor Sweetie! She has so much work to do she can never really stop and do something for herself, other than play a very quick game of Candy Crush every once in while when Dodong is napping. Thank God Lola is around to help with the chores, else Sweetie would go crazy!
Okay then, without further ado, here are those WonderPolls I promised y'all.
1. How often do you go to the movies? a) Once or twice a week; b) Once or twice a month; c) Once or twice a year?
We probably go somewhere between "b" and "c", say six times a year. The most popular choice was "b", getting 57% of votes, followed by "c" with 37%. Choice "a" only got 6% of the votes, which is understandable, as who has the time or the money to see a movie once a week or more?
2. Green apples or red? a) Green Apples; b) Red Apples; c) I hate apples.
I hate green apples, but red apples are quite good, so I chose "b". 51% of respondents agreed with me, while 40% of y'all have poor taste buds and prefer green apples.
As for the 9% of y'all who hate apples, what's up with that?
3. Do you lick your fingers before turning pages in a book or sifting through paperwork?
Yep. Do it most of the time. I must have dry hands or something, because 79% claimed you do not do this.
Only 14% of y'all have dry hands like me, As for the other 7%, they chose the goofy, doofus answer, ("only when I'm reading in a public restroom"), and thus lose two cool points.
4. Would you rather be on an island by yourself with no food, or with One Direction and a lot of food?
Being a clueless old fart, I have absolutely no idea who or what "One Direction" is, but somebody must really dislike them an awful lot to want to starve just to avoid them.
I personally can't think of anyone I know personally I'd starve myself to avoid. Inconvenience myself, sure, but starve? No way!
82% of y'all are sane enough to agree with me, but would you believe that 18% of respondents would be so traumatized by being in close proximity to "One Direction", that they would rather starve? Poor babies!
