16/November/2016 - Stuck in Columbus

Although it was Wednesday, Grump did NOT drive home after work.  We have decided that, due to Daylight Savings Time, it is too dark too early for him to make the drive multiple times per week.  Bummer!

So, after another mostly boring / partially irritating day at work, Grump went out for drinks with a coworker.

They met at a place on Broadway, which is just down the street from where they work.  This is a part of Columbus they are attempting to "revitalize", and Grump couldn't resist taking a few pics.  Don't worry - we'll only post one!

The bar they went to was pretty cool inside, but all but deserted.  Being old farts, neither of them knew where young folk go for after work drinks these days, but apparently it's not here.

Meanwhile, back home, Dodong had a exciting encounter with Santa Claus!

Last weekend we had bought a signing Santa Claus at a yard sale, but even after Grump changed the batteries it still wouldn't sing.  So Dodong was playing with it on our bed, and started shaking and banging it around.  Suddenly Santa started to move his mouth and sing!  It scared the bejeezus out of poor Dodong, but it was funny as heck to the rest of us.

Dodong is still a bit shy around the Santa, but maybe that's a good thing.  Maybe he won't shake and bang things so much?  (Nah!)
