13/November/2016 - (Mostly) Restful Sunday

This Sunday started off peacefully, with Kuya doing what he usually does, namely, spend the morning in his pajamas whilst playing with the iPad.

You probably don't remember this, but Grump experimentally grew some camotes in a pot this year.  All summer long Sweetie and Lola had been teasing him, telling him that camotes don't grow in a pot, and that while he was getting some good vine growth from them, that he would not get a single root!

Well ...... with the weather turning chilly recently, Lola and Sweetie decided to dig up Grump's "potted camotes", and guess what they found?  Roots!!  Lots and lots and lots of roots!

So it appears that the Old Grump's experiment worked after all!


The rest of the day passed peacefully.  Sweetie was getting over her colds, while Dodong and Kuya started coming down with the crud.  Bummer!  But at least Grump didn't complain about money much, so we didn't have that awful tension in our house that we had Friday night.

All went well until just before bedtime.  Kuya had eaten a bowl of ice-cream, and then for some reason had a crying fit.  Unfortunately this crying fit lasted until he began to barf.  Yuck!

So just before crawling into bed, Old Grump had to grab a bunch of paper towels and clean up the vomit.  (At least Kuya did NOT vomit on a rug!)

What a nice way to end the day, huh?
