2016/September/03 - Food Shopping

Today we went food shopping!

After our morning chores, (working out, cleaning up, etc.), we climbed into the car and set off for H-Mart in Riverdale.

Dodong was eager to get on our way:

Soon we arrived at H-Mart:

Unfortunately, by the time we got there, Dodong was asleep!

As you may remember from yesterday, Grump is on steroids, so he was tired and irritable:

Grumpy Old Man!

Since Grump was miserable, and Dodong was sleeping, it was decided that the best thing to do was leave Grump in the car with Dodong, while Sweetie, Lola, and Kuya went inside H-Mart to buy some yummy fruits and vegetables.

Unfortunately, it was not a very successful shopping trip.  For some reason the produce trucks had not arrived at H-Mart this week, so there weren't too many yummy fruits and vegetables to select.  So Sweetie, Lola, and Kuya were back in the car much sooner than anticipated.

We had a quick family conference, and decided that the best thing to do was just head on up to the Buford Highway Farmers Market in Doraville, (north side of Atlanta).

We took I-285 around Atlanta to get there, and fortunately traffic was light, (for Atlanta!), especially considering it was a holiday weekend.  Once we arrived at the Farmers Market, we decided to get lunch first.

Kuya ate two big hotdogs:

The cafeteria at the Farmers Market has an interesting selection.  For example, Grump's lunch was Russian meatballs, a potato samosa, some of the green Indian dish with cheese, (I forget what it is called), and a pork tamale.  Yummy!

Shopping at the Buford Highway Farmers Market is a fun, family affair, even if it is always very crowded.  (It's an extremely popular place!)

Here's some of the yummy fruits and vegetable we bought:

Longans and Lychees

Rambutans

Even more Rambutans

Lots of Eggplants

Once we arrived back home from our food buying adventures, everyone reverted back to their normal behavior:

Peace!
