06/November/2016 - Mellow Sunday

Today was a mellow Sunday.  (That's two mellow days in a row!)  We didn't do a whole lot, and it felt great!

Despite his insistence that driving Sweetie's car was giving him a sore back, Grump did manage to drive us all to church and back.  Once back home, he demonstrated just how "sore" his back really was by being a good horse:

I guess riding that ornery old bucking bronco was exhausting, because soon afterwards Dodong was fast asleep:

A few months ago Lola planted some squash seeds.  It was probably too late in the season, but now we are hoping that our squash vines can hang in there and handle the cold for just a few more weeks, while the squashes they have produced ripen.

Will they manage to ripen or not?

Oddly enough, the cooler weather has prompted some of the "tropical" plants to flower more profusely.  Besides this guy, the hibiscus in the front yard is blooming much better now.  I guess it just gets too hot here in the summer?

Remember the Christmas Tree that Sweetie and Lola set up a few days ago?  (WAY too early, IMHO!)  Well, it turns out that Dodong is enjoying grabbing the bulbs off of it and throwing them on the ground.  Grrr!!  After he broke three or four, Sweetie and Lola decided that this wasn't going to work, so now our Christmas Tree looks like this:

Sweetie and Lola will probably take it down completely sometime this week.  Sweetie says she'll replace it with a centerpiece she can put on the table, that hopefully Dodong won't be able to reach.  (Don't count on it!)

Peace y'all!
