We woke up early to go ...... shopping! Yes indeed! It's a weekend day, and on the days when Grump is not working we are busy spending the money he earns!
It was fortunate we got off to an early start. We had planned on driving up I-75 to the Babies-R-Us in McDonough, but a few miles south of Locust Grove there was a horrendous traffic jam, so we took a leisurely detour through the countryside. It probably took us longer than if we had sat in the traffic on I-75, but it was sure a lot less stressful, and we arrived at Babies-R-Us plenty early anyway.
At Babies-R-Us the usual damage, ($100+), was done to our credit card, then we drove back towards home, stopping in Forsyth at the Grits Cafe for a yummy but expensive, ($60+), lunch.
By now Old Grump was becomming very grumpy indeed over all our spending, especially considering that we had spent $160 yesterday on a new handbag for Sweetie. So we headed back home, and just relaxed for the rest of the day, NOT spending any more money in the process!
Bedtime came early for Kuya and Dodong, and even Grump soon joined them. And another day was done.
P.S. - here is a pic of the $160 handbag/diaper bag. It's a high quality Michael Kors product, which is important, as we have had the handles of cheap handbags ruin some of Sweetie's blouses.
