2016/Mar/05 - I Love Saturday!

Aren't Saturdays just wonderful!

The morning began with the taping up of some balikbayan boxes.  We still have to address them and put a final wrapping of clear tape around them, but they should be sent on their way to the Philippines before month's end.

After a light breakfast we all packed into Sweetie's car and drove off to Lowe's, to buy dirt.  (Yes - believe it or not, we actually BUY dirt for our garden plants!)

Originally we had planned on going to the Atlanta Botanical Garden today, but Sweetie and Grump were still tired from Thursday and Friday, so we decided to stay home.  But just going to the garden section at Lowe's was a nice botanical treat anyway, as all the bedding plants have recently arrived fresh from being pampered in some grower's greenhouse.

Even More Plants at Lowe's!

You don't even need to go to a botanical garden to see orchids and other exotic plants anymore, as Lowe's has them for sale.

Just don't expect your plants to look as ravishing when first put into the ground of your garden.  It takes them a while to adjust, and start growing lavishly again.

After lunch Kuya and Grump went to the "Teddy Bear Clinic" at the Macon Museum of Arts and Sciences, just like they did last year.  This year they got two bears, one for Kuya, and one for Dodong.  (Dodong's bear is the one with the "broken" arm.)

Finally, late in the afternoon, Grump and Sweetie went for a walk, since it was such a BEAUTIFUL day.

We hope the weather was wonderful today wherever you live too, and that your day was as pleasant as ours!

Peace!
